Macaw In Flight

£800.00

In the town where I live, a small rural town in north west England, the fields are filled with sheep, the colours on display are primarily green, brown and grey. Except for the semi-wild macaws that sometimes fly through town in a flash of bright reds and blues, an explosion of colour that lights up the town. They come from a bird refuge that was set up some years ago by a wealthy philanthropist.
How could any artist not be inspired by something so vivid, so gloriously incongruous?
I wanted the background to show a rainbow of colours, giving it an almost psychedelic look, to try and capture the explosion of colours as one of these parrots fly through town.

Painted in acrylic on stretched canvas, fully varnished, with wall hangings attached.
Note: Painting is unframed. Framing can be arranged, though that will add slightly to both the cost and the delivery time.

All prices include delivery costs.

Dimensions:
W: 75 cm
H: 60 cm
D: 4 cm
